Yay for YAYOI: A Japanese Teishoku Delight
Hey there fellow foodies!
My latest culinary adventure takes me all the way to Japan...well, not literally, but there's a ton of Japanese inspiration right in my own backyard in Plano, Texas!
Yayoi is a Teishoku inspired restaurant with plenty of food options to satisfy your palate.
What exactly is Teishoku, you say? It's a dining concept centered around steamed rice that includes a soup, a vegetable side and pickles along with your main dish.
Yayoi features an extensive menu of Japanese comfort food in the form of noodles, delicious sushi, rice dishes of all kinds and tasty combos to satisfy even the pickiest eater. The service here is great also. The wait staff is very friendly and they each go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your experience. Good food and good service is always a win-win with me!
Here's a few pics from my visit-every dish was delicious but the Clam Udon Soup is a must have!
Yayoi is conveniently located right off Highway 75 at 120 Legacy Drive in Plano TX. If you're in the neighborhood be sure to stop by and check this place out.
